Tennessee Speeding Law

Speeding in Tennessee is often classified as a criminal offense. Most people are surprised to learn this, especially drivers from out-of-state. However, the police do not always charge the driver with a criminal offense. Many cities will charge the driver with a civil infraction. Both types of charges though can carry very harmful consequences to the driver's insurance and driving record associated with the driver's license. When defending this type of case only use an attorney who understands the techniques for speed enforcement and the law related to the application of such enforcement techniques.
